Pole-dancing classes.....

So, tonight I started back at pole-dancing classes and I know there is a HUGE stigma about these types of classes and the image they portray but I have to say I love it now as much as I did 3/4 years ago when I did it then.

Back then I did approx 12 classes all in all and I can tell you for a fact that from doing this, both my upper and core strength improved dramatically and, although you don't sweat at the classes, you do feel like you've worked hard at the end of each one.

Tonight showed me how pole-dancing is possibly being accepted a bit more as a fitness class, and not just a class for the wild youngsters looking to get their freak on, hahahaha. The age range in the class I went to was vast in as such as there were 16 to approx 50+ year olds (sorry if I offended anyone with that, lol). Everyone worked equally as hard as the next and they all seemed to enjoy it.

Now, I can already feel the pain and the bruises forming but I can't wait for next week's class!!!!! :D

Y'all come back now,

Naked2 palette...

OMG....OMG....OMG!!!!

OK I know, being in the UK, we're a bit behind with this, but my Urban Decay Naked2 Palette arrived today and I am far from disappointed.

Booty Call - Shimmery cork (New)
Busted - Deep brown with shimmery finish (New)

Verve - Oyster with shimmery finish (Repromote, not available individually)
YDK - Cool bronze shimmer with metallic base (Permanent)

Naked Sheer shimmery pinky neutral (Lip Junkie) (Permanent)

Good Karma Shadow/Crease Brush Dual-ended brush

I was really worried a lot of the colours would be similar to my Naked Palette, but after swatching them myself I'm pleased to say that's not the case. I won't deny it and say there aren't colours that could possibly pass for the other but those are minimal. Obviously Half Baked is actually a repeat so that doesn't count :) However, the ones I find most similar are Busted (Naked2) v Hustle (Naked), and then YDK (Naked2) v Sidecar (Naked) and POSSIBLY Snakebite (Naked2) and Smog (Naked). Now these may not necessarily be the case as the lighting in my house is TERRIBLE!!!! But even with that said, I am still very happy with this purchase :)

I tried to swatch some pictures myself but due to the lighting it didn't really work :( So, thanks to the lovely xsparkage here are the 2 palettes swatched together.

On the top is the Naked palette (left to right):
Virgin, Sin, Naked, Sidecar, Buck, Half Baked, Smog, Darkhorse, Toasted, Hustle, Creep, Gunmetal

And on the bottom is the Naked2 palette (left to right):
Foxy, Half Baked, Booty Call, Chopper, Tease, Snakebite, Suspect, Pistol, Verve, YDK, Busted and Blackout

A lot of people are also asking which is better, or the 'must have' but really how can you ask someone else? It depends on the colours you like the most and, personally, i think BOTH are a must....greedy? me? ;)

Anyhoo, hope you enjoyed this and go get buying ;)

Acrylic nails....

For those that know me (which from my 2 followers, would maybe be one of you, hahaha) I am obsessed with getting my nails done. I just love the feeling of long nails and looking at them being pretty colours but, as my own nails really don't grow, I have been getting acrylic tips done for approx 2 years now.

I wouldn't say I would recommend getting these done to be honest, as I have seen myself the damage that they can do to your own nails.....but let's just say you should do as I say, not as I do ;)

I thought I would post up some piccies of the colours I have had, just for interest to anyone that does get theirs done.....so here are a few!!! (Disclaimer - these nails are my own but thanks to Claire @ Goddess Salon for doing the acrylics, heehee).....oh and 'scuse the old granny looking fingers, lol.

A new start for the ol' blog here.....

Hey guys and gals!

So it's the first of January....a whole new year begins today! And in that year is the chance to make something in your life better, by giving yourself a resolution!!!

I've thought about what to do this year, and really there are soooooo many options I could give myself:

* Become more confident with others
* Take more pride in my appearance
* Become more domesticated (as my boyfriend would put it, lol)
* Become healthier by eating better and working out etc.
* Take up more hobbies/courses in regards to things I enjoy ie singing, make-up etc

All are perfectly achievable, i'm sure, but I just want to do something that I will actually manage to accomplish. Is it so bad to ask that by the end of the year I can say, I DID IT!!!!! lol?????

I'm definitely one of those people that likes to start something but never really gets round to completing it.....always losing interest or feeling I'm not good enough to continue. For example, this blog was actually started months ago, but it has taken until today (that all important start of the year, lol) for me to actually write anything. I even had to get some inspiration from a friend, who has recently re-started her blog, to do this! But even then, i'm half tempted to delete it, thinking what if no-one wants to read what I have to say, what if it's not interesting. Maybe my one resolution should be to have more faith in myself and my abilities as they are, without trying to change anything just yet!!!! lol.

I know I might sound like quite a sad and depressing person now but, honestly, i'm not!!!! Hahahaha. And if I can TRY and keep this going, I will try to show you all, lol. I'm hoping to do more personal updates, but also include make-up entries, possible OOTD.....the usual stuff you see on these......or maybe what I like to see anyways, lol.

So without further ado, I welcome the New Year and all the hope it brings!!! Yeh, HOPE that I keep this up now, hahahahaha.

Y'all come back now ;)
